The tool is also designed to accommodate interchangeable custom-made blade sets, each of which is made for a specific profile and pitch. The gable blades have an allowance of 1/12 up or down from the blade set ordered.

The Heavy Duty Pivot Shear is perfect for shearing heavy gauge panels to a 48-inch maximum cut length. To operate, simply attach the handle using the 9/16” nuts and bolts provided, then remove the safety clevis pin to open the shear. The blade operates on a pivot; simply pull down on the top shear to make the cut. You can shear straight at 90 degrees or up to an 8/12 gable.

For jobs involving lighter gauge exposed fastener panels, we offer a smaller, lightweight version, the M42 Pivot Shear. This tool operates similarly to the Heavy Duty Pivot Shear. To operate, attach the handle using the 9/16” nuts and bolts, remove the safety clevis pin to open the shear, and pull down to make the cut. The M42 can handle exposed fastener panels up to a maximum cut length of 42 inches, and it can shear straight at 90 degrees or up to a 5/12 gable.
